CV for 87 4kcsq

One problem seems to be found:  I think I need a new CV joint.  Doing the
test that a mechanic told me -- go around in a circle, wheel to lock, and
listen carefully.  Tick tick tick ... oh boy.

Only seems to do it when I'm going to the right (clockwise circle).  A
very audible tick-tick-tick ..

And for Phil -- sometimes, when I'm coming to a stop, slowly, not
suddenly, I get some rubbing/grinding from the left front.  Maybe caliper
bolts?

She may be going in tomorrow for a check up -- so how should I be armed?
What prices should I expect to pay, say, for the CV?
