Re: Warming up the Engine (using a gauge)



I am compelled by love for flogging dead animals to interject the
following 'wisdom'. Or guessdom.

An Audi mechanic back in Michigan once told me a number of years ago
that the best measure was to use the oil temp gauge. DO NOT go above
3000 rpm or so until after the engine oil gauge has risen above the '60'
mark (the bottom mark on the gauge). Thereafter the oil is sufficiently
warm; flog at will. Do not put away wet. Use only as directed. yada.
