DIY: Pointers for R/R Knock Sensor ('88 5kCStQW)?
I'm going to install a new knock sensor on the wagon tomorrow night.
I have contemplated the task before, but it seems like there isn't
sufficient clearance to get an open-end wrench in there and turn it.
Since the sensor has a reasonable extent I'm assuming that I can't
get a socket on it to use a ratchet. I'd appreciate it if one of you
folks out there that has actually done it could give me some pointers
on how you did it. Now that I think about it there is a strict torque
spec for installation ... I guess I've got to figure out some way to
get a socket on there. Could the socket that is used for R/R of the
OXS happen to fit?
TIA!
