The simptoms you described are not torque steer.
Torque steer is a condition when the steering wheel is actually 
pulling itself out of your hands.
You are experiencing lack of grip.  Same thing happened to me after I 
installed a turbo motor in my Coupe.  I also have a set of A509's and 
with more power and same traction I also had my car pulling from side 
to side.  There is however no pull in the steering wheel.
There is another possibility.  The CV joint could be bad.  Sometimes 
when the CV is damaged the car will pull to one side under power and 
go straight in neutral.  My sister had an alignment done on her 
Scirocco and it kept pulling afterwards.  It was the CV.
