Yes the first push or two of the pedal after changing pads always sends the
pedal down to the floor as the pads have to move a lot to be seated
compared to where they are when you slide them in the caliper.  The pedal
should be solid after one or two pushes, if not there is a problem.  Also,
one-man brake bleeder equipment can be found at most autoparts stores for
around $20.  I have had much better luck doing it myself than when the
dealer did it, not to mention saving a lot of money.  The Porsche discusion
group was split as to which is better, I just know if I did it, it was done
right.  

Anyone in the group have an opinion on the pressure bleed versus
do-it-yourself?
