I did find it odd (and a bit disappointing, I 'spose) when I bought my '94
90CS Quattro in July that it had only the 4 rings and the 'quattro' badge
on the rear deck. I wondered why 'Audi 90 CS' (or some variant) was
missing. But apparently its not unusual for this model. In fact, just
yesterday I saw another 90CSQ with only the 'quattro' (and rings) on the
rear deck lid.

I was quite pleased when I found a chrome license plate surround with the
'Audi' logo on it. Now the rear of the car does have 'Audi' on it (for
those among us that don't know what the 4-rings or 'quattro' mean. :-) And
the chrome surround (with black logo) looks great with the chrome rings and
'quattro' badge.

In one sense you could say that only having 'quattro' on the rear deck lid
is an understated expression of fine engineering (or a conceited one... ;-)
Some uneducated folks might say "What's a 'quattro'?" while others would
immediately say, "Ah! That's an Audi Quattro! What a lucky driver that
person is!" :-)
