One last post on the roll cage discussions. The 97 SCCA Pro-rally rule
book states "roll cages constructed to FIA specs are legal, all others
must meet the following requirements". S-D does sell FIA certfied cages
and those would be legal as built, all others would have to meet SCCA 
specs. I was not at the race where the cage failed inspection-it 
probably was not a FIA legal cage. The rules do call for a seat brace 
behind 2 pc. seats as Brett C. pointed out. I know as far as my safety
is concerned, you can never have too safe of a roll cage. I had the mis-
fortune of field testing the one in my last Scircco-end over end at 
about 95 mph !
