Nitrous?

I'll probably be flamed for asking, but does anyone have experience with
nitrous? Not on a turbo, obviously. I'm interested in hearing from some
REAL experiences, not a bunch of "it'll blow your motor" heresay. Anyone
know anything?
The systems they have developed in the last few years seem far more
sophisticated, with applications via a WOT switch instead of relying on
pilot intelligence. 
Could be just the thing for a 110hp stock GT...
