I beg to differ ... mind you, I've never seen a British race or rally car in
person but from the photos I've seen in various magazines, *I* wouldn't be
comfortable running one of their legal cages in MY car.  In fact, even the
SCCA-mandated cage designs aren't adequate to make me comfortable ... anyone
running a bolt-in cage where the rules allow welded-in cages is a fool,
period!

Again, I would argue this point -- I can name several just in the Phoenix,
Arizona area -- but in general, I think you're correct that a lot of folks
with a tube bender and MIG welder incorrectly consider themselves a fully
qualified rollcage designer!
