'91 200 radiator removal?

I can't find instructions on this in the Bently, but my untrained eye
says that the A/C condensor needs to be removed first to make room for
the radiator to come out. Someone please tell me it isn't so...   The
climate control works perfectly and I can only imagine that a drain and
refill of the R-12 is going to have unwanted side effects. Also, is
there a known all metal replacement radiator, or should I go with OEM
plastic and metal? The leak is at the front motor side seam.
