Cam gear Q:


       I've read some of the archives.  Indications were that adjustable 8v VW
cam gears could be used on 10v Audi engines.  I have a spare 8v cam in the
shop and was able to confirm that the 10v cam gear fits correctly.  But
fitting does not mean it will work.
       The Audi gear has 44 teeth around the circumference.  Does anyone know
how many teeth there are on an 8v VW cam gear?
