distributor rotor

Thanks everybody for the help with my rotor problem.  I ended up
chiselling off the old rotor and, sure enough, the new one I had ordered
from Europarts fit right on (after scraping the shaft of all the factory
glue).  I did notice, however, that the part number on the old bosch
rotor and the new bosch rotor I have was slightly different (2nd to last
digit).  My car runs fine with the new rotor.  I think this whole thing
with replacing the whole rotor and distributor assembly is just a
factory scam to get us to pay extra money for something we all can fix
ourselves.
