New: Audi Allroad quattro

Judging from the comments on the list, just about everyone has seen the
Volvo XC and Subaru Forester. Well, now it's time to get ready for the Audi
equivalent: the A6 Avant quattro-based Allroad quattro!

To be shown on the Detroit Motor Show, the Allroad is a ruggedized concept
car, with a high Land Rover Freelander content. It has jacked-up air
suspension, which can be set to give either 145, 170 or 195 mm ground
clearance (143 mm for the regular A6 Avant) with a button on the dash. When
the car is parked, it defaults to the highest setting, to enable passengers
to get in and out easily. The engine is the 2.8 V6 with 200 hp (220 km/h
top speed). Except for the chunky-looking 5-spoke 'Twin Force' alloys with
special 225/55 R17W tyres, the Allroad (German joke, Allrad=
all-wheel-drive) has black front and rear bumpers, the front bumper has an
integrated polished steel sump guard. The wheelarches are covered by black
plastic guards. The twin exhausts (one on each side) are connected by a
similar steel device. The interior features wood 'n' leather and an
Alcantara roof lining, while the roof differs from the regular Avant in
having ribs running along the length of it. Lighting is provided by
high-tech Xenon units. The door mirrors are of the S8 (polished alloy-)
type.

While I'm not a big fan of pretend-offroaders, the chunky looks of the XC
and Forester give them a lot of extra presence IMO. The Allroad makes both
of these cars look a little cheap (which, judging by its spec, they will be
when compared).

Any bets on the feasibility of this concept car?
