Fused relays

Frank Amoroso asked, in reference to Hella relays:

Are these the same units that New Dimensions sells, with a 15 amp fuse 
rating? I wanted to go with these but I needed more than a 15 amp fuse.

If they're the clear blue ones, yes.  The fuse rating refers to the fuse
that comes with the relay.  The relay itself is a full-up 30 amp unit. 
Just swap the fuse.  The spec sheet says that normally open relays can
handle up to 40A continuous at +85 C.  Unless you've got some mega-power
stereo or Phil Payne-esque light cannon, you ought to be okay at 15 A.  (15
Amp x nominal 12v = 180 watt)
