no, not really, when i talked to walter roh*r*l, he disliked the sport, but
found the s1 much better.
he was pretty pissed at the sport which he said was a cockup foisted on audi by
hannu to improve turn in. as he was very keen to have a balanced car, and the
sport's f/r balance went to hell (which resulted in increased instability at
speed, and generally speaking, more twitchiness), turn-in was the least of the
problems. peaky engine response also didn't help mattrers. walter reckoned
that the a-series quattro could have been quicker than the sport with further
developments.
