RE: 5KCSTQ irritants and short A4 review



My 87 5KT automatic does similar thing. Engine cold - idles at about 800
rpm. Put it in drive - idles little below 800rpm, with almost no noise
and vibration. Allow the engine to reach operating temperature and it
begins to idle at 1100rpm in neutral. If put in drive it idles at
900rpm, which causes annoying vibration. Is cleaning the ISV likely to
help or does the problem look like an electrical one?
