This is a little complicated. It's an Audi, right?
The alternator pivot bolt and the strap pivot bolt should be loose.
The outer (tensioning) nut should be tightened using, e.g., a Crowfoot
socket on a torque wrench. 8 Nm for a new belt, 4 Nm for a belt that
has run before. The centre (locking) nut should be tightened to 35 Nm
while the outer one is held at torque. Then the pivot bolt should be
tightened to 35 Nm, and the strap pivot bolt to 20 Nm.
