Audi Gods are Vengeful!!!

You would think that i would learn by now.  Last night when i was out to 
dinner with my father we began discussing automobiles.  I mentioned how 
well my new 4000 quattro was doing and how cheap it has been to own so 
far.  Well, guess what, that very night, my alternator dies.  Right 
there, i know that the Audi gods exist.  Last time that i said that the 
car was doing well, the power steering pump died, the same day!!!

Now tell me, is this just coincedence....

Also, can anyone give me pointers on how to replace the alternator?  I am 
going to be taking the one out of my old coupe and putting it in the q, 
so any help is much appreciated...
