Any Air Con experts?
My quest for an evaporator for the RHD V8 has proven fruitless.
Given a new evap from Audi is several times what I'm prepared to pay, I'm
looking at modifying another evap to take its place. The biggest stumbling
block to doing this is the distributor on the Audi evap. Does anyone know
whether I can substitute a TX valve for the distributor? If so, is there
anything else I'll need to change?
Secondly, I've noticed that a lot of the later designs of evap are using a
wide flat tube with fins between rather than the traditional arangement of
tubes & fins. I can see a big saving in cost of manufacting these units,
but are they also more efficient?
Cheers
