Air filters for S4

Hello all I'm doing a service on the S4 and I would like to replace the
stock air filter with a Ram Air unit. I've contacted Ram Air USA (as well as
Sport Wheels) and they told me that they will not be importing that
particular size due to lack of interest (DAMN). I've also looked at K&N, but
I've heard bad things about fitment (something about the rubber seal). I
think Jamex may make a filter for my application but I have 1) no info on
this and 2) don't know where to get one. Anyone know where I can get Ram Air
and / or Jamex for this application?

I'm staying away from the K&N cone for several reasons: 1) I have not bought
off on how pumping hot air (albeit freer flowing) into your motor increases
horsepower (see EC Feb. issue, Midnight Motorsports Air-Bath system) and 2)
Since I need to drive clients around I'll probably need to stay away from
induction noise (especially dump valve hissing and spitting). I've thought
about fabricating a box that utilizes the stock heat shield and encloses the
cone that would still be fed cool air through the stock ducting, but this
seems like allot of work, time, and expense compared to $40 for a freer
flowing stock replacement.

I wouldn't mind some throaty exhaust noise though, anybody know how the
Stebro's sound on acceleration? I hear they fit much better than the
Scorpion systems.

                    TIA,
                    Frank--
