True and consider that many people drive with hard soled shoes and can't
feel their pedals. I just got a pair of steel toed work shoes that are
actually wide enough for my feet. I find that I don't like driving in
them because I can't feel the pedals well enough and they barely fit the
space between pedals. So, I wear sneakers to drive and when I get to
work I put on the heavy shoes. Could be a factor.
