Hmmm...
I for one would not trust a company that does not take any responsibility what so ever for their products (read their Terms of use agreement!) for the serious use as you mention. Imagine when a software bug disables a function of the ECU and you blow your engine (note the 'when', not 'if' statement...).
Stay away from toys from the company that made the term 'Oh, it doesn't work - You need to upgrade to have that function working' into a commodity statement.
Use serious tools for serious work. Microsoft is already dominating one sector of our life - are we sure we would like to fund further expansion? Not me...
Sorry about the BW, I just get carried away when given an opportunity to speak out! Flame me if you like, Computer Systems Integration is my business and I consider myself fairly open minded about suppliers as such... Microsoft still has to prove to me that they can provide professional products.
