Automatic car washes have a way of doing cosmetic surgery on cars, a
trim piece here, a trim piece there, and sometimes more serious damage. 
The antennas are quite whippy, but why take a chance?  The antennas are
easy detached and reattached unless (excuse me) you are vertically
impaired, which is to say short.
