RE: k26 vs k24 in dual knock motor
I agree with your observation that the K24 can have excellent top-end,
pulling very strongly indeed, all the way to the stock redline and beyond.
Based on direct experience, a good breathing EM (the 2-piece) and a
good cam make a critical difference. I just cannot differentiate between the
cam and the 2-piece as they were done at the same time. The K24 was
no worse and perhaps better at the top-end Vs the K26 with the stock ur-q
cam & EM.

the cam in the rs2 makes quite a difference in comparison to the k24 in my ur-q
imho. where the k24 runs out of puff at around 4,500 and starts to get a bit
rough, the rs2 really starts to sing (sounds wonderful).
i appreciate that the turbo's breathing accounts for some of this change as
does the manifold and intake design. but the effect is so noticable and so
purely "top-end" that i'd swear that it was mainly the cam...
