back seat groan--fuel pump dying
Hi Nathan,
I had a similar experience with a bad tank of fuel. I ignored it for a
few days and ended up loosing the pump which cost quite a bit to
replace.
If it happened again I will:
Clean and flush the tank. Remove the pump and clean the filter mesh.
Replace the pump and pump the last of the rubbish out, then replace the
front fuel filter . The sooner the better!
Check for proper delivery afterwards, I got a dud replacement filter
which gave me endless hassles, as I expected the filter being so simple
to work.
