WG Problems
Gerard:
A simple test for the WGFV is to remove and plug where it attaches to the WG.
If you still get overboost, chances are the line to the bottom of the WG (from
the intake manifold) has a hole in it. Those of you with NO OVERBOOST cutoff
should be warned of this procedure as well. I have replaced a couple of these
hoses in the past few months. No overboost cutoof, and the turbo will wheel
right up to 'xplosion. A ripped WG diaphram will elicit the same behavior,
too.
Ah, and that high tech heat shielded hose (035 145 742 B) is 90USD at the
dealer too.
