Goodwood Festival of Speed.  Earlier even than that, I think.

Coy's Historic Festival.  Usually two weeks after the British Grand Prix - your 
dates are pretty good.

It was a one-off, on 21 September 1997.  No current plans to repeat, though it 
was the best of all last year's event.
