Old car, more questions

Hi qlisters--
Have 2 more (I'm sure I'll have more!  :)  ) questions re '84 4ks:   The
back door on L side 
needs R&R on the handle but it is stuck closed and has no "lever" on the
outside, just the 
handle part.  Any advice on how to get it open?  The other side was "easy"
to fix.  The other
 is most likely a big PITA, there is a clunking sound coming from trunk on
R side when going
over bumps.    I appreciate any and all help!!
