What can be "offensive" about the price someone sets for something like a
used car? For the most part, a car--especially an Audi--is a discretionary
item (unlike food and medicine, etc).

Just say no! ;-)

If the prices are unrealistic and unsupportable, they will fall soon enough.

I know that referring to an Audi as a "discretionary item" is sure to draw
some flames, but you all know all what I mean. Supply and demand effect
can't be avoided. If people are paying those (whatever) prices, then that's
what the cars' value _is_ at that moment in the market--maybe not to us.
Not offensive,  Maybe humorous, or baffling or...too bad.
