cleaning halogen bulbs

So what is the appropriate technique for cleaning finger grease and other
schmutz off a halogen bulb? Pure isopropyl alcohol and a paper towel?
Rubbing alcohol? Windex? :)

Speaking of isopropyl alcohol, I remember hearing or reading something
about avoiding certain dry gas because it contains isopropyl alcohol and
dries out rubber fuel line components. I noticed that Mobil dry gas is
isopropyl alcohol...*is* there a problem with isopropyl alcohol?
