'90 200 TQ questions and comparisons

     Hi,
        New lister unlurking here.  I have questions about a '90 200 T Q 
     sedan.  If you'd like, please feel free to mail direct to me instead 
     of posting your comments to the Qlist.
        I'd like to know some specifics that I should look for on a 90K mi 
     car that I have access to.  I know all of the usual used car caveats, 
     but wanted to benefit from specific info you all may have.  I've seen 
     much data in archive, but wish for more.
     
     Some points:
     
        Modifications easily done for additional HP on the 2.22 engine?
     
        Brake modifications?
     
        Wheels, Poss. 16"? that will easily fit without modifications?  
     Possible tire fitment on those 16's?
     
        Specific problems to watch for that the 1990 model may have had?
     
        Opinions on whether to try for a 91 instead?
