Attempt to assuage any knicker knotting and assure list members of lack of
personal knicker knotting follows....

I think it is great that we all drive Audis, Quattros and Synchos
irrespective of transmission. I also think it is great that we are
interested enough and enthusiastic enough to care about what we drive.
Expousing this philosophy was an attempt to take the middle ground on the
automatic vs manual debate (I supposed this has the potential to be
offensive to both sides).

Unka Bart. if you let me try your manual V8, I'll let you try any of my
automatics, or manuals!
