5000TQ master cylinder on a urq?

Hi fellow fanatics!

I have one question and a comment or two:

Will a master cylinder from an '87 5ktq wagon bolt up directly and work in
place of a failing '82 urq (tqc) master cylinder?  TIA for any informative
help.

Thunderhill was awesome.  Duane's 4kq with the MC turbo engine kicked!  If
anyone out there has $12000 burning a hole in their pocket, give him a
call.  I think his car is more fun per dollar than most of the other Audis
in this price range!

Duane taught me a lesson on the insignificance of brakes... he never used
his.  Maybe I've been killing brake pads at the track by trying to slow
down too much!
