Front seats in a '98 A4 - advice needed

Hello, club.

My Cobras should be here in a week, so yesterday I visited my dealer and
asked the master tech a couple of questions.

It appears that if I disconnect the airbag plug on the front seat:
1. The airbag module will pick up a fault code.
2. The airbag module will disable the remaining airbags because of this.
3. The module will store the fault code into the OBD2, where it will
remain until the dealer resets it.

In other words, it's January and I am riding half/frozen on the vinyl
seats w/o heaters. I am also $975 poorer coz I have cheerfully ordered
nice sport seats w/ warm and cosy fabric upholstery, which I am not able
to install because of the F****** OBD2! I can't bear a thought of being
stuck in this position, please help to full OBD2!

I_am_sure that the airbag control module listens to a certain impedance
of the explosive device. There has to be a way to connect a resistor in
parallel and THEN disconnect the seat plug.

In a desperate anticipation of help,
