Airbox Mods Redux



The airbox thread was very interesting. At least one person (and thr 
recent article in EC magazin bout the AirBath system)  mentioned 
potential problems in placing in input duct down low, as it could
pick up water.

However, the'84  Coupe GT has an air duct molded somewhere in the
front air dam, and a hose connects the front air dam to the air box
(it's a very heavily insulated hose, I might add). Has anyone ever
sucked water into their Coupe GT engines?

If not, has anyone considered taking two old GT air dams and
cutting them and "pasting" them back together to create an air
dam wide enough for the type 44 cars?
