first time buyer info needed

I have started a search for a used100CS Quattro with an automatic
transmission.  I know very little about these car but have always wanted to
own one.  It appears that to get the automatic I can only get the 100 model
with the 2.8L V6.  I love turbo charged cars but can no longer tolerate a
manual transmission in DC area traffic.  I want to spend under $20K.

What do I need to know before I buy?  Is there a good internet site for
information about these models?
