This is the sender for the temp gauge, as well as provides "engine cold"
and "overheat" signals to the auto-check unit and A/C programmer. I
remember reading somewhere that the "engine cold" signal is also used by
ECU - anyone can confirm/deny?

This is the main temp sensor for the ECU.
