BTDT's on rear crank seal?
Morning all,
Same '87 MC engine that I referenced in my message about EM studs.
I've been told that it's a good thing to go ahead and replace the rear
crank seal on the turbo engines whenever you can get to it. Well, the
engine is out of the car with the clutch and flywheel off, and the seal
only cost $4 so I figured, "what the hell."
Granted, I haven't looked in the Bentley yet, but I wanted to find out
if anybody had any BTDT's or caveats about doing this job so I could
keep them in mind.
Is this going to be real easy; just pull the old one out and push the
new one in? Or am I going to wish I hadn't decided to do this?
TIA again!
Gary
