K40 remote detector?

Re the K40 question:

I have one installed in my  97 2.8 A4Q.

I'm pretty pleased with it(read no tickets<g>).

HOWEVER...

I've not seen any positive comparison of this detector with virtually any
other.

It's also pretty expensive( $ 525 installed ).

I had it installed in my car for the stealth and convenience factors and am
willing to live with reduced sensitivity/accuracy.

In the many years I've been driving with a detector I've learned that it's
only a small part of the equation of avoiding a speeding the few times I
exceed the 55mph limit here in NJ.  Soon to be 65.
