Re;SCCA Nomex suit 98' rules

The new suit & helmet requirements go into effect 1/1/99. SA85 
helmets are still legal for this year, however, SA90 will be needed for 
next year, dont be tempted by a bargain SA85 when purchasing the helmet.
     The new requirement for suits will be a SFI 3-2A/5 or higher, or at
least 3 layers if not rated. SFI 3-2A/1 suits will be allowed with Nomex 
underwear. There are several materials on the market that are approved:
Nomex, Kynol, FPT, IWS, PBI, Kevlar, Proban, Fyrpro & fiberglass (???).
There are also several proprietary materials allowed as well. Hope this
