Re:turbo cam in N/A 5K

Seems I've heard this thread some time before...............

Anyhow- the ole "Turbo-cam-in-a NA" engine is currently under
compairison in my shop!  A fellow lister sent me his old Urq cam
to take measurements from!   Of course this is a "Non-hydraulic"
cam and differs from the "Hyd" cam.

So far, certain year engine cams, can be swapped.  But you have to make sure
the "hydraulic" is for hydraulic!

Initional measurements yield the older mechanical cam(1982) to have some
interesting spec's in the valve opening, and duration catagory!
Mechanical has 48.4mm tall lobes, and the Hyd has 44.2mm!
Keep in mind the Schrick 272 hyd,has 45.5mm!

What I'm trying to achieve is a through compairson of all Turbo cams
available up to 1992 model years, both hyd and mechanical.

This data I intend to post, plus several actual "in-engine-in car testing"
sessions, if feasable!

In the next few months several interesting sets of cams will be at my
disposal!   Including 2 "reportedly" racing cams!

As soon as I get it all together, I'll post it, and more detailed spec's
will also be available to those interested!
