It depends on the company you are dealing with. Some will be more of
a hassle than others. If you can get a body shop to give you an estimate
just under the value of the car. You can come out alright. Otherwise,
with
a car that old, you can likely buy it back from the insurance company
for a couple hundred bucks. My family has BTDT several times. Not our
faults just seem to be able to find poor drivers at every turn.
Keep in mind that I have two parts cars. An 84 5KST and an 85 5KS.
