This is the car at Double Z Motors I haven't gotten around
to posting about.
Peter is a straight up, honest guy - I suggested to him he could
easily get 12k or more for the car but he declined, knowing
it needed a couple of things.

I didn't drive the car but saw it.  Needs tires, has some cracks
in the front grille, small crack in one light - I would install
euros anyway.  The radiator support looks new, so it may have
been in a minor front end wreck at some point.
It was owned by a woman in CT, but Peter was unable to get the
records.   A private party may have better luck.

I noticed some minor corrosion in the engine compartment - maybe
the car was owned near the shore?  I would take a good look
under the car as well.
 
I would get the car, install euro lights, tires/rims, suspension
if needed, and maybe sport seats or recaros.  For the price,
looks like a deal.

And by the way, I haven't added Double Z to the parts vendors list
yet, but they are my local parts yard too.  If you need something,
give Peter a call - he does a lot of VW stuff, some Audi (nothing
exotic, most of that stuff goes out to CO he says), etc.
In particular he had a white 87 4kq he is parting, and 3 sets
of 5000s rims, which would make nice snow rims for a 4kq.

I may have to run up there in a couple of hours in fact...
