S6 Avant

I'm in the process of purchasing a 1995 S6 Avant and have a few
questions.  It appears to have been well cared for.  It has 25k miles.

. Any "gotcha's" that I should be aware of?  I looked over a list of
TSB's for the car and see a recall on the ignition, but nothing else
really stood out.

. It's my understanding that the Audi warranty is transferable.  Can
anyone verify that?

.  Are extensions to the warranty available, and are they worth
considering?

  Anyone have any experiences to relate on reliability - particularly
w/ regard to electricals?  (I have several friends with '80's vintage
Audi and BMW cars that have had problems with electrical gremlins, and
they seem to feel that it's symptomatic of a German car.)

Any other thoughts are greatly appreciated.  I'd planned on getting a
new A4 Avant this year, but then this opportunity popped up.
