CQ Tahrs Results...(long)

First Off...
Many gracious thanks to those of you that sent responses, I had over
12 and I tried to record all of them just to give an idea.

Michelin MXV4's were the most popular (by quantity) tire according to
usage (or former usage). Although, most people semed to not prefer
them. Seems like many of us are affected by the name brand here.

OK - 2
BAD - 4

BFG T/A Comps were the second most popular response. Listmeister has
a set and good ol' Unka has had multiple sets.

BAD - 0

Dunlop D60s were also tallied a mere two times, but both responses
were semi-favorable

BAD-0

Yoko 509's were also given a quick notice..

Conti's were asked about , but not given any BTDT. I must admit to
being negative towards the Continental marque after much of the press
bickering about them on the A4's so I didn't check em out.

Bridgestone Eagers elicited one response indicating they may be OK,
but in the context of the note I believe this was based upon Tire
Rack testing, not BTDT so......

For the good of the Q-List et al I am subjecting my CQ and my health
to the performance of the Eager 205/60 H4 M+S. Reasoning...I liked
the tread pattern on the bottom of the tire. Seemed to be
performance oriented. The shoulders also seemed to be rather square,
indicating that (a) it prolly isn't that great of a performance (i.e.
track type) tire, but (b) it will prolly stand up to the rigors of 80
miles of commuting each day.

Initial Driving seems pretty good. Nice and quiet on the road and
they also seemed to perform OK in the 2~4 inches of fresh snow at
Tahoe this weekend. SEE TAHOE MTG REPORT post in the near future
;-).
