Yes, I've BTDT on this one (too) on my 5KS. Check the switch under the
parking brake arm - the lever you pull to apply the parking brakes. You
have to work the boot upward along the arm so you can get at the switch.
Mine was broken into several bits, and one of the wires was intermittently
touching ground, so both the parking brake warning light and the charge
light would flicker at random. I found that if I fiddled with the lever, it
stopped, and then if I squeezed (higly technical term) the boot, that would
also stop it. Final cure was replacement of the switch. You may also want
to check the wiring to it for frayed insulation.
