I had the opposite experience. Getting off (without a puller) was
difficult. I used a long punch and hammer to gradually work it out but it
was a very ackward angle to do this. Putting in was a snap. Place the idler
pulley in the freezer for a few hours and was able to fit it in the block
mostly by hand ...
