I drove my previous '88 90Q through 18" of untracted, heavy and wet snow
(covered with a layer of ice). I had to go roughly 100 feet and it made
it. I had the slip the clutch the entire way to keep the engine in it's
powerband...otherwise it would bog down and stall.
The tracked areas (still unplowed) had been driven entirely by SUVs...so I
was scraping down the road there as well. Damage? Exhaust shielding/skid
plate came loose and would rattle against the drive shaft.
I haven't had a chance to run my A4 in any significant amount of snow yet,
but I feel like it should be just as capable.
