Weather BTDT

Thankfully we were driving the "big" Q as the skies really opened up.
We were driving on the infamous highway 17 and it was raining so hard
that visibility was extremely poor. A few feet at times.

I concur...
Absolutely the HARDEST rain storm I have ever, ever seen. (And this
includes Florida and Japan _monsoon type_ events while visiting)
Was driving back form the SJ Sharks unceremonious defeat at the hands
of the Rangers Monday at 11:30~12 at night and literally could not see
past the bumper on a few occasions.
I definitely would have pulled off, were it not for knowing the
proximity of other vehicles due to the visibility.
Damn good thing this whale of a coupe got me home...plus, a past
spinout experience in the syncro helped me focus on keeping the
throttle open when _skipping/plowing_ over 4~6 inches of standing
water on Hwy280. I swear that those moments seems like eternities
and learned that one _lake_ I drove over at speed caused the Fwy to
be shut down some 2 hours later...
First time I've been frightened due to elements since attempting
serious valley (San Juaquin CA) fog driving years ago.
Un-friggin-believable rain...
