Re: motor mounts?

in general when the clutch stays "close" to the floor it indicate the clutch master cylinder is the culprit (inside the car, connects to the pedal), in my past two experiences the clutch master was at fault....

Subject: motor mounts?

Hi, All.  I remember someone recently talking about getting their quattros' motor mounts injected with something (heavier fluid?)  I think the engine mounts on my 85 4ksQ are going and I'm wondering if I need to replace them or if there are any alternatives.
Also, how do you determine if the master cylinder or the slave cylinder is going bad.  I'm slowly losing brake fluid and the clutch sometimes stays low to the floor.
Any suggestions?

Sincerely,
